Community is not just in our name, it is in our blood. The Community of Healthcare Employees Credit Union’s Board of Directors, Management, and team believe in the community we live, work, play, and go to school in and take pride in giving back through various initiatives. Over the last several years we have collected toys for Toys for Tots, basic necessities for Women in Need, winter coats for the Salvation Army, pet supplies for the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter and made monetary donations through our team’s dress down donations to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary Festival of Lights, Menno Haven Country Day, Chambersburg Capitol Theater, Council for the Arts – Icefest and chair/table parade, and many more. The CHECU team even went Bowling for Boobs in support of the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance.
Not only does the CHECU team financially contribute to our community but we actively volunteer. Many team members are involved with activities in their churches, schools, and community. Organizations such as Leadership Franklin County (under the Chamber Foundation), Council for the Arts, Healthy Communities Partnership, and Chambersburg Kiwanis have all benefitted from significant volunteer hours of your CHECU team.
Currently we are helping to raise funds for the relocation of the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter with a pledge of one cat cubby being raised through the team’s dress down donations. While we may be a team of five, we are proud of our contributions to our community. |
