Need to send cash quick and easy? CHECU provide its’ members with the convenience of sending cash fast to any Western Union located in the United States (and limited areas abroad). Members are required to have a Wire/Western Union Authorization Form on file before a Western Union can be initiated on the member’s behalf. In general, most cash can be sent and received within one hour during normal business hours. CHECU only sends Western Unions and is not a Western Union receiving location. When sending cash through Western Union, you will need to provide the following information:
- Amount (must be on deposit and available from a CHECU account)
- City and State (you do not need to provide a specific Western Union location, just a general geographic area like a city or town and the state it is located in)
- Name and address of individual receiving the cash (They must have photo identification in order to pick up the cash. In the event their identification was stolen or unavailable, you must provide the credit union with specific features of the individual for cash pick up like color of hair, eyes, skin, height, build, what they will be wearing, and a passcode/passphrase they will say to have the cash released)
